CHAMPION-ELECT PARNHAM SEEKING CITY PB WITH BRILLIANT BOOK

Chris Parnham is odds on to become the 36th individual rider to win a Western Australian metropolitan jockey premiership, and he is about a 25-1 chance to set a city personal best when he rides at Ascot on a card with two feature events.

According to TABtouch’s fixed odds markets on Ascot’s nine Saturday races, Parnham is booked to partner either the favourite or joint favourite in seven of those contests, including each of the first six heats. Parnham’s personal best tally at a single metropolitan meeting is four wins, while he saluted the judge five times at Northam on Thursday 11 July 2013. Crunching TABtouch numbers as of 9:00 on Friday, Parnham’s approximate 100-per-cent book prices are:

Zero wins 14.00
One win 4.40
Two wins 3.20
Three wins 4.20
Four wins 9.00
Five wins 31.00
Six wins 201.00
Seven wins 2,001.00
Eight wins 35,001.00
