CLAIRVOYANCE’S FUTURE FEATURES STAKES SUCCESSES

Clairvoyance recorded the fastest Ascot 1,200 metres winning time since Group One hero Hey Doc’s Winterbottom Stakes victory and the track’s best Punting Form rating for a three-year-old since Special Reward scorched the turf, also in 2019.

Backing up seven days after the first defeat of her career, Clairvoyance ran like the clappers throughout the non-black type event for fillies and mares over Ascot’s 1,200m course, stopping the clock at 1:09.26 and earning of a Punting Form rating of -9.9 lengths faster than benchmark. Hey Doc’s 2019 Winterbottom Stakes-winning time was 1:08.59, while Punting Form marked the first of Special Reward’s four consecutive Ascot successes at -10.8l. Subsequently, Special Reward has won a couple of Group Three contests in New South Wales.

Clairvoyance has scored a Punting Form rating close to -10l twice at Ascot this season – her 3YO Classic victory over 1,000m in October registered -9.8l – and only three thoroughbreds – Detonator Stakes winner Last Of The Line (-13.0) and two Group One champions, Inspirational Girl (-12.8) and Truly Great (-12.0) – have bettered her venue figure this term. Hopefully, Clairvoyance does not suffer any more injury hiccups, and she realises her potential.
