FRANKEL’S SONS AND DAUGHTERS MAKING THEIR MARK IN AUSTRALIA

Frankel did not race in Australia, but the highest-rated galloper of all time is making his mark on thoroughbred racing in the great southern land; no stallion sired more individual Australian Group One winners this term than him.

While Verry Elleegant put her sire Zed’s name up in lights five times this season as a consequence of her Australian Group One victories, Frankel, Shamus Award and Written Tycoon each sired three different top-level champions.

Hungry Heart (two), Converge (one) and Mirage Dancer (one) were Frankel’s Australian Group One-winning offspring this term, while Duais (one), Media Award (one) and Mr Quickie (one) represented Shamus Award with aplomb and Ole Kirk (two), Odeum (one) and Pippie (one) starred for Written Tycoon. Last season, Not A Single Doubt was the main man with four individual Australian Group One victors.
