It was 20 years ago today that I caught a flight to say g’day. Moving from the United Kingdom to Australia was the biggest decision of my life, but it’s wonderful to be here, and it’s certainly a thrill.
From the Black Country of the English midlands to the Red Centre of the Australian outback via the Gothic City of Leeds, the Big Smoke of London and the Harbour City of Sydney before crossing the Nullarbor Plain to arrive in Perth, the most isolated major city on the planet.
Happy New Year, and let’s pray 2021 is better than 2020. Surely the next 12 months will be superior to the last 12.
